Michael began his wine journey like a lot of people do, as a part-time sales clerk at a small wine shop. Originally intending to be a teacher, he had no idea the world he would step into as he gained a sincere appreciation for authentic and elegant wines. He spent much of his career in retail at one of New England’s finest wine shops.
Having traveled to France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Chile, Argentina and across the United States meeting winemakers and learning about their operations, Michael particularly enjoys the stories behind the wines, the who, where and why of each individual wine.
When not out selling, Michael is probably found taking in a game or cooking something to pair with great wine.
He resides with his wife Kimm in Northampton, MA where they raised their two sons, who have now flown the coop.
